In Mystic Falls we don’t say “I love you” we say “welcome back” which roughly translates into “I know you weren’t yourself but still you’ve hurt me so much but it doesn’t make me love you any less, I forgive you, I’m still in hell because you’re hurting, I cant walk away from you, I love you and I’m so glad you’re back to yourself” and I think that’s beautiful.
